The Beechcraft Baron 55 is developed by the Beech Aircraft Corporation and currently manufactured by the Hawker Beechcraft Corporation. It is a light, twin-engined piston aircraft, introduced in 1961 with space for 4 to 6 passengers.
The Baron 55, 55A, 55B were equipped with two 194 kW Continental engines with a cruise speed of 190 knots. The Baron 55C, 55D and 55 E had more powerful engines and due to that an increased cruise speed of 200 knots.
